RULES Based Costs and Fees
In line with the industry charging transaction fees, a very powerful, very flexible Module is currently being introduced into Traveller.
It is basically a definition of rules that are tested against a booking and allow agents to implement a totally flexible, efficient charging regime. It is possible for the system to say on a BSP a domestic ticket charge 1 figure, but if it is European charge a 2nd amount or if an American then charge yet another!
This can be charged on a percentage basis, or a fixed amount, per person or per transaction. And different charges can be made for specific operators.
This is an extremely powerful tool for an agency, and allows massive flexibility. Because of this flexibility, by its very nature it is fairly complex, and would not really be advisable for an agent that only charges a flat rate e.g. 10 pounds for issuing a BSP ticket and a flat 2.50 for issuing rail, and it would be more beneficial for you to use our existing Costs and Fees module.
Once this module has been enabled on your system the rules are set up in a maintenance screen, where all rules are easily changed.
