Rule Fees : Multiple Fees

Traveller now has the ability to both apply multiple fees from the rule fee module but to also choose the operator and transaction type that are created as a result of these fees.

Requirements :

Traveller Version : <TBA>
TravRules.dll : 6.0.0.37
TravRuleConfig.exe : 1.0.0.52

Instructions :

TravRuleConfig.exe needs to be installed in <CWADV>\Utils\Masterfiles\TravRuleConfig.exe

TravRules.dll needs to be in <CWADV>\Installs\DLLs\TravRules.dll and in CTBooterinstructions.ini in order to copy to client PCs. Terminal services users should install this file directly in c:\conctrav on the terminal server.

Configuration :

The instructions below show a basic rule setup which will apply 1 fee and 2 fees in the examples below using 2 different operators. To begin, launch the Traveller Rule configuration by accessing File -> System Utilities -> Costs and Fees -> Rule Based Fees, the following screen should appear, create a new rule as a test...

Once done, populate the rule with something simple as below, creating these rules is similar to Letter, Discount and VAT rules.

Notice how on SubRule 1 I have configured the rule to "Continue if Rule is True"

This means if this rule is true, it will apply a 10% fee to the booking, then, continue working out rules below it. This is how you create multiple fees. Also notice how Subrule 1 will create a SERV operator and SubRule 2 will create a CFEE operator item, this will be shown in the screenshots below.

Next quickly check that our new rule is set to trigger in global options, you may also have setup in sales account maintenance.

For this example I have created 2 BSP bookings, one worth £21, the other £51.

On the first £21 transaction, upon entering payment entry a fee for 10% is created since the Transaction is BSP, but no second fee is raised because the value is below 50.

On the second transaction, value £51 both the 10% fee for 5.10 is raised in addition to the £2 fixed value CFEE because the transaction is both a BSP and it is valued above £50. Also notice that the operator in each item is as configured above.
