Firstly open Architect. (Shown above)
A message may or may not appear reading – ‘BsAdvUtil is an invalid alias’ if it does, disregard this and click [OK]
You now have Architect open.

In Architect;
Select FILE in the top left and left click OPEN TABLE.
When the new window appears check;

The first white rectangular box labelled ‘ALIAS’ has CwAdv written inside it.
The second white rectangular box labelled ‘FILE(S)’ is blank.
Disregard anything else on this screen below these rectangles.
In the box labelled ‘FILE(S)’ type in CUST0R (important - note that the ‘0’ is a zero digit) Click [OK] in the bottom right.
This will open a file that hold all
of the clients ever entered into your Traveller system. You will see them list
in an Excel style format. You may export this list entirely to Excel or even Word
if you wished. You can do this by right clicking anywhere on the list and selecting
‘EXPORT TO HTML, EXCEL…’
STEP THREE
Now to narrow down the list to only the accounts you desire. This can be done via an SQL code, but first you must open the SQL code window.
Locate the SQL button on the tool bar at the top of the window in Architect, and left click.

This will open the SQL window. Notice that there is a large blank area on the left and covering the bottom area, and to the top right there are some buttons.

In the top right, check the options;

Your window may or may not look similar to the one above, but the options are the same either way. Once this is complete, everything is ready for code to be entered. Code is entered into the white box in the top left of the SQL window, next to the options you have just been looking at;
In this window, copy this code (written in red below) and paste in the SQL window in Architect.
Some SQLS have been provided here.
Once this is in the window, look to the top right again at the options and press the button labelled ‘EXECUTE’
You will see a list forming in what was the blank area covering the bottom half of the SQL window. You will know when the SQL has finished, and either been successful or not, by the grey area below the white box on the top left where you have just entered the code, or a message will appear in the large white box covering the bottom half of the SQL window.
A message will appear, hopefully reading SUCCESS.

This is now your list of clients with the particular accounts you have specified in your code. You may now export this list, the same as the original to Word or Excel by simply right clicking anywhere on the list, and selecting ‘EXPORT TO HTML, EXCEL…’
Save the document and you are finished!
Load up the document in whatever
application you have chosen to save it as, and check through it thoroughly for
duplicate entries, or if its picked up the incorrect information, and you may
edit and amend as much as you wish.
STEP FOUR Disregard this step if you can export your table to Excel)
If you do not get these options when right clicking and get options that say
‘EXPORT RESULTS TO NEW TABLE’ and/or ‘EXPORT RESULTS TO EXISTING TABLE’. Then
choose to export to a NEW TABLE and save it onto the DESKTOP.
If this is the case then your version of Advantage Data Architect needs upgrading
so that you can export files to Excel format. You will have to contact Micros|Travel
IT to get this upgraded.
