Two new free text GDS entries have been created to assist in the efficiency of downloaded bookings. These entries are to be used in conjunction with a new default value, which determines if a bookings costing is overwritten or kept upon download.
KEEPCOSTING and ZAPCOSTING download entries
Two new free text GDS entries have been created to assist in the efficiency
of downloaded bookings. These entries are to be used in conjunction with a new
default value, which determines if a bookings costing is overwritten or kept
upon download.
To access this switch select Options from the traveller main menu, then Global Options, select CRS / BSP from the tab selection, the option is located near the bottom of the screen (See figure 10) please note that only high level users may change this option. By ticking this option the user is asking the system to automatically overwrite any costing information held in the system at the point of download, if the box is not ticked then the costing information will NOT be overwritten.
Both sets of circumstances can be overridden with one of the new free text entries, so for example if the company KEEPS the costing by default, and on an occasion the costing is required to be wiped, the user would enter DI.ZAPCOSTING as a free text entry. Traveller would recognise that the bookings costing data was to be overwritten in this instance.
This option is set to Erase costing upon first installation
