Auto Insurance has been a part of the traveller system for quite some time now, it's configuration and use are covered elsewhere on this web site. 6826 gives the option to manually change the policy numbers in auto insurance transactions and even allows these numbers to be posted through to accounts if the user desires.
Turning this option on is done by selecting Options/Tools -> Global Options -> System Tab
When the "Use Manual insurance policy numbers" option is ticked, the auto insurance screen will appear as shown below:
This policy number can be set as long as the booking is not definite, please remember that once the booking is confirmed that the policy number is locked until the booking is cancelled.
