It is now possible since 6826 to group accounts, these account groupings can then be reported on. In the past similar accounts may be associated with each other through the use of prefixed account names or suchlike. This is no longer necessary.

To group accounts there must first be groups to attach accounts to. This can be achieved through the File -> Masterfile Maintenance-> Sales Accounts -> Sales account group names. (Example shown above)
Once at least 1 group has been created you are ready to attach individual accounts to this group. Remember that each account can belong to many groups, and each group can have many accounts associated with it. This makes this system very flexible.

The button for grouping is in the top right. When clicked the following screen will appear.

To add an account to a group, click new and select one of the groups you have pre configured. To remove an account from a group, select the desired group and click delete.
This information can then be used on a number of the reports in the Traveller system, this list is likely to grow as time passes and as more users become accustomed to the account grouping mechanism.
