Users familiar with the notion of sending out master files will be aware that the existing method of updating master files requires that all users exit the system whilst the update takes place, and worse still - that if this is not adhered to the system is open to a wide range of problems that can hinder productivity.
Traveller 6827 includes a new Update mechanism that neither requires exclusive use of the system or puts it at risk. The Master File updater takes advantage of new technology made available in Advantage 7.1 and above to make the process of updating your system quicker and easier. It is a requirement to have a Database engine at 7.1 or above, for more information on this please speak to your account manager or ask a qualified member of our Support team.
The use of the Masterfile updater is very simple, once files have been prepared and you would like to inject them into your live system, launch the updater - click begin, and let the program do the rest!
