Traveller 6829 installation officially supports Advantage 8.1, this means that sites with Advantage at version 8 and above can now perform the installation in the standard way. Previously this would need to have been carried out by Micros Support.
The installation process on Advantage 7.1 is significantly faster and more resilient than on previous versions and it has been reported by a number of clients that both 7.1 and 8 offer increased stability and improved performance. To enquire about upgrading or to find out what version you are running, call your account manager who will be able to provide further details.
Micros Support for Advantage 6 and below is likely to diminish over time as the technology provided in later versions enables us to create reports much faster, and these reports run in a fraction of the time they do now.
